A Guide for Writing a Cover Letter
A cover letter is a document typically sent with your resume that provides additional information on your experience and why you are qualified for the job you are applying for.
A cover letter is another chance to make a good first impression on an employer so you don’t want to simply repeat what’s on your resume. Instead, include specific information on why you’re a strong candidate for the role.
Your cover letter should be tailored to the company and role you’re applying for. Even if the company says a cover letter is optional, you may want to include one anyway since employers use both resumes and cover letters as a way to screen applicants to determine which candidates they want to interview.
